Last year, BSides Peoria pulled in nearly 350 people. Our villages went from “neat side thing” to one of the loudest parts of the conference. Our electronic badges? People are still talking about them.
So we’re not slowing down. We’re pulling out all the stops this year.
What’s new in 2026
We’re adding three new villages on top of the returning Physical Security Village from last year:
- Ham Radio / RF Village: get your tech license, play with SDR, hunt some signals
- Human Hacking Village: the human side of the kill chain
- CTF Village: flags, puzzles, and a leaderboard to chase
We’re also kicking around the idea of a Career Village to help connect attendees with hiring orgs in Central Illinois. (If that sounds like something you’d want to be part of, keep reading.)
